A BODY FOUND

NEAR CAPE PALLISER

The body o" a man was found by the lighthouse-keeper at about 5 p.m. yesterday on the beach near the Cape Palliser Lighthouse. According to his report, the body had apparently been on the beach about five days. The Martinborough police are attending to the matter, and a party went out this morning to recover the body. The spot where the body was found is about 48 miles from Martinborough, and can only be reached after a t»amp of five or six miles from the end of the i-oad. No further details will be available until tonight. It is believed that the body may be that of one of the men who were drowned in Lake Wairarapa some three months ago
