CHANGE OF DATES
MANAWATU SPRING SHOW
(Special to the "Evening Post.")
PALMERSTON N., This Day.
Advice has been received by the Manawatu A. and P. Association that his Excellency the Governor-General had accepted the invitation to attend the Spring Show on November 4. Lady Galway regretted that owing to engagements in Wellington on that afternoon she would be unable to be present and neither of the other two show days, was possible owing to the arrival of Lord Hartington in New Zealand on November 5.
Owing to the change made in the statutory half-holiday in Palmerston North, the association decided to alter the show dates from November 4, 5, and 6 to November 5, 6, and 7 in order to secure the advantage' of the Saturday half-day for the fixture. Consequently it was resolved to advise his Excellency of the circumstances which had necessitated the change and to invite him to attend the show on the clay most convenient to him.
