A MONTH'S SHIPMENTS
The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board is advised by cable from its London office that the shipments from Australia, South America, and South Africa to the United Kingdom during the month of August, 1936, were as follows:—Australia, mutton, carcasses, 15,972; lamb, carcasses, 23,381; beef (frozen), quarters, 120,898; beef (chilled), quarters, 27,270. South America, mutton, carcasses, 19,149; lamb, carcasses, 155,100; beef (frozen), quarters, 2722: beef (chilled), quarters, 397,991. South Africa (including Southern Rhodesia), beef (chilled), quarters, 5740. The shipments from New Zealand to the United Kingdom for the same period were as follows:— New Zealand, mutton, carcasses, 187,872; lamb, carcasses, 739,624; beef (frozen), quarters, 19,803; beef (chilled), quarters, 6916.
