WELL-EARNED REST

The M.C.C. cricket ,team for Australia left England behind in a smother of mist and rain after exceptionally quiet farewells both at Waterloo Station and at Southampton,; contrasting strongly with the enthusiastic scenes always witnessed when Australian teams leave home. The majority of the team, however, are relishing the prospect of a month's rest'aboard the Orion after in some, cases ; . several seasons of continuous cricket broken only by voyages. No menibe'r of the M.C.C. committee is aboard. - '
