■ The ex-Prime Minister of Canada (the Rt. Hon. R. B. Bennett) arrived in Wellington yesterday' from the north. This morning he met the Prime 1 Minister (the Rt. Hon. M; J. Savage), ] with whom he had half an hour's; con--1 versation.' He later had luncheon rwitli ' Mr. Savage, members of.. Cabinet, and a number of members of. both Houses of Parliament. During the morning Mr. Bennett paid * a visit of inspection' to the Awatea. During the past week Mr. Bennett has' visited a number of North ■ Island centres, and tonight he will'leave for the Southlslahd, returning to Wellington at the weekend. ; I--. ; • - — , . . ■
