NEW WOMEN'S CLUB

The formation of a Kilbirnie Women's Cricket "Club was decided upon at a meeting held in the Kilbirnie Cricket Club's pavilion this week. Mr. J, Reid presided, and among others present was Mrs. D. E. Mr. Reid informed those present that while it had been decided not to have the women's club as part of the Kilbirnie Cricket Club there would be two members of the committee of the men's club appointed to act as a link between the two clubs. The successful inauguration of the new club would be received with pleasure, and the members could be assured of receiving assistance from the men's club whenever possible. It was indicated that the women s club already had some twenty prospective members. Various details regarding the drawing up of rules, etc., were left to the committee.
