KHANDALLAH AFFAIRS
The question of printing and distributing an up-to-date map of the district was discussed at a meeting of the Khandallah Progressive Association this week, and if was decided that the matter be referred to the incoming committee with a recommendation that the map should be prepared when the new railway and bus services commence so that railway and bus information may be included. / , Mr. Desboi-ough was m the chair. A letter was received from the Railway Department stating that improvements to the bus service, which had been suggested by the association, were receiving consideration. The secretary is to communicate with the Public Works Department with reference to power lines across residential sections. Representations are to be made to the Railway Department in reference to the erection of warning devices at the railway crossing near the station, and for the erection of a bus shelter shed at the eastern end of Tarakaka Street where it intersects Bombay Street
