VETERANS AND JUVENILES.

Lilian Braithwaite, the lovely English actress, is playing in "Madame is Amused," at the London Criterion. The play is by Edith Ellis, the American dramatist, who adapted "The Moon and Sixpence," in which Henry Ainley appeared about ten years ago. Miss Ellis came from America to attend rehearsals and the premiere of her play. Auriol Lee produced, for Howard Wyndham n and Bronson Albery. Another member of the cast is Nova Pilbeam, the juvenile English actress who had been appearing in the O.U.D.S. production of "As You Like It.' Nova is appearing as the illaugured royal child, Lady Jane Grey, in the British film production, "Nine Days a Queen." Dame Sybil Thorndike plays Ellen, her loyal nurse.
