MAIDEN PACERS

HUTT PARK CANDIDATES

(Special from "Irvington.")

CHRISTCHURCH,. September 2. Maiden performers in Canterbury have not yet been provided with a race handy to home this season, and several will- have their first outing at Hutt Park next week. Among them will be Radiant Prince, a horse by Native King who has shown a good deal of speed in his private work, ana in his- few races to date. He is now being trained by S. A. Edwards at Addington and his appearance suggests that he will not be long in winning races, especially over distances up, to a mile and a quarter. Among others who will attract notice are Torquemada, Effle Parrish, • and Starwyn. Effle Parrish went a good race in the Sapling Stakes.
