Before Mr. Savage's announcement that Mr. Francis Bertram, Deputy Director of Civil Aviation in Britain, was going to New Zealand to advise concerning the Tasman and Pacific air services reached London Mr. Bertram ; was already in the air aboard today's Imperial Airways liner bound for Australia. Mr. Bertram is'travelling alone, and is expected to be absent for two and | a half months. ]
