MRS. WILDING.
Many Wellington - friends of Mrs. Wilding, wife of, Mr. Frederick Wilding, K.C., and mother of the late Anthony Wilding (four times- world tennis champion) will learn with much: regret of her death; which occurred at her r home, "Fownhope," St< Martin's, Christchurch, on Friday. Mrs. Wilding was an accomplished musician, a most hospitable woman, interested • in all forms of sport, a chess player, and a writer of book reviews. She was a most energetic and capable worker for the Red Cross, both in time of waiyand later in the peace-time work.
Mrs. Wilding is survived by her husband, one dfughter, Miss Cora Wilding, two sons, Messrs. Frank Wilding (Christchurch) and Edwyn Wilding (Cohway FlatI,',1,', and seven grandchildren. Mr. Anthony Wilding was killed in the Great War, and her elder daughter, Miss Gladys Wilding, M.A., died about twenty years ago, olter proving herself a brilliant scholar, graduating M.A.. ■with, firstclass honours.
