TROPHIES PRESENTED
■ Trophies won during last season were presented .at the Canterbury Owners' and Breeders' ball to the winners of the various competitions by . the Hon. R. Semple. They were as follows:—Mr. T. G. Fox's gold-mounted whip for leading reinsman, J. Bryce, jun.; gold whip given by the Hon. George Hunter'and .the Hon. P. C. Webb, for unhoppled trotters, driver, M. Holmes; n Trist and Small's gold-mounted-whip for leading trainer, F. J. Smith (represented); Mr. 'T. H. McKenzie's silver-mounted whip for leading saddle rider, M. Holmes; sil-ver-mounted whip given by the Owners' and Breeders' Association for leading money trainer, F. C. Dunlevey; J. H. McKenzie's Cup for leading reinsman, F. J. Smith; shield presented by A. Hamilton . (Ly ttelton), for" leading sire, F. Holmes (Rey.de Oro); cup presented by Mr. Allan Matson for leading sire, F. Holmes.
