The Department of Agriculture has received the following cable, dated August 8, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London: —Fruit: Empire Star shipment in excellent condition. English apples in.large supply. Spot market is: Stunners, 7s to 8s 6d; Delicious and Statesman. 8s to 9s; Rokewood, 8s to 11s; Dougherty, 9s to 11s 6d; Granny Smith, 10s to 14s.
