NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day

The Supreme Court' sessions opened today, Mr. Justice Ostler presiding.

Of three bills of indictment presented, two related to charges against motorists alleging negligence causing death.

A true bill was returned against Samuel Edward George Hawke, charged with negligently driving a motor-truck so as to cause the death of. a motorcyclist.

After the jury was empanelled the Crown asked that it be kept together for the four days the trial is' expected to last. ■ •
