~.,. , BERLIN, August 5. Additional results of events at the Plympic Games are:— \ POLE VAULT. Final.—Maadows (U.S.A.), 4;35 pietres. (an Olympic record), 1; Oe (Japan) and Mishida (Japan), each $.25 metres, equal, 2. WEIGHT-LIFTING. Tourni (Egypt) broke his own Jvorld's record with a military press bf-115 kilos. He later lifted 117:5 j fellos, which is not being recognised. With regard to weight-lifting events &t the Game*, Mr. K. J. Webb, of Wellington, writes pointing out that the three lifts used at the Games are: Two ha^sds clean and military press, two hands snatch, and two hands clean »nd jerk.
