The ceremony of throwing a die for Bibles, which has taken place annually at St. Ives, Huntingdonshire, for over 250 years, was held last month. Under his will, dated August, 1675, Dr. Robert Wilde, of Oundle, Northarits, bequeathed the sum of £50 to St. Ives, and directed that it should be invested so that it might yield the sum of £3 per annum, this to be spent each year on the purchase of Bibles.
