HOCKEY TEST MATCH
PRELIMINARY BY MEN
Hockey activities in Wellington will be centred on the Basin Reserve on Saturday, when the Test match between the New Zealand and Fijian women's teams will be played at 3 p.m., As the third and fourth grades in the men's hockey competitions are to provide teams for a curtain-raiser for the Test, all men's club games have been postponed. The men's match will commence at 1.30 p.m. The third grade team selected by Mr W. S. Butcher is as follows:— Fleet;jScrimengeour, D.Johnson; McDonald, E. ragar, Ginders; Jenkins, F Miller, L. Fuller; W. Domb. . Rosa; emergencies, T. Salmon (back) and W Patterson (half).
The fourth grade team, which has been selected by Mr. R. Hull, is as follows:—X. Eyes; Henderson, Foothead; Jenkins, Stephens, Whitham; Moston, Sandi, Quinlan, Martin, Grinrod; emergencies, O'Shea (back), Rigby (half), and Elgar (forward). Messrs. T. C. McKenzie and A. C. Watts will be the umpires.
