WIN FOR THAMES
ART UNION DRAW
THIRD PRIZE TO WELLINGTON
Wellington had an exceptional streak of luck in the "Just for Luck" art union, which was drawn last night, and annexed the third prize, as well as a number of £10 prizes. Those unfamiliar with Wellington's luck in the general run oi art unions may consider this to be an overstatement, but actually it is far from being the case. First prize went to Thames, the second to Christchurch, and the third, of £200, to" "Boii Accord," of Wellington. The Auckland province followed up, however,, by winning the fourth and fifth prizes, thus succeeding in netting three of the five major prizes. "Mr. J. Hutchen represented the Internal Affairs Department at the drawing, and Sergeant V. J. Cosgrave tlie Police Department. The prize list is as follows:— First Prize, £2000. •30311 "Grease," Royal Hotel, Thames. Second Prize, £500. '23369 "Ho Bo," Christchurch. Third Prize. £200. 100376 "Bon Accord," Wellington.
