METHODIST HARRIER CLUB

The Methodist Harrier Club championship and sealed handicap were held on Saturday afternoon.

The course led from the tennis courts at Miramar along the commencement of the Shaw Baton course, and into the scrub, thence up the valley and returning along the opposite side and back through the cowyard to the torn line at Rotheram Terrace. The course was covered again, the distance being a little over five miles. The seventeen' runners found the course very sodden and slippery. This made running almost impossible in places and there were numerous falls. D. Walker won both the championship and sealed handicap events, with R. Ingram second and F. Kerslake third. F. Thorley was unable to continue after the" first lap. E. Patterson and L. Ingram deviated from thertrail, spoiling* their chances. Fastest times were D. Walker 33min 32sec, R. Ingram 34min 24sec, and F. Kerslake 35min 18sec.
