A special meeting of the Chamber of Commerce discussed at length a proposal that the Minister in Charge of Tourist Resorts be urged to open up to the general public all sporting facilities on, the Te Aroha Domain on Simday afternoons betvyeeV 1 o'clock and 6 o'clock for the purpose of providing entertainment for weekend visitors and bringing Te Aroha into conformity with other established tourist resorts such as Rotorua.: The motion was.carried by 19 votes to 11.
