LABOUR FOR FARMS
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —There is a lot of talk at present about the farmer being unable to obtain labour and more talk of bringing out immigrants, when there are so many thousands of unemployed. Seeing the farmer is to get a guaranteed price why cannot the Labour Party make him pay full wages and give a 40-hour week, the same as the small business man in the town, who is unable to pay higher wages on account of competition and not getting a fixed price? You cannot blame any man leaving a farm to go on public works to get more money.—l am, etc.,
PLAY THE GAME.
