WATER FOR PUNJAB
An immense irrigation project in the Punjab, costing... £4,000,000, is being prepared by the Government experts' at Simla.' It is designed to irrigate 1,500,000 acres of land along the banks ■of the River Chenab, below its junction with the Jhelim. The scheme includes the construction of great weirs across" both rivers.'
