STAFF DANCE
WHITEHEAD AND PEARS The Mayfair Cabaret was the scene of a most enjoyable function when the staff of Messrs. Whitehead and Pears, Ltd., held their annual dance. The tables in the supper-room were artistically arranged, and vases of Iceland poppies made bright and cheery groups of colour. Mr. J. James and Miss I. Wakeford gave an excellent exhibition of the modern waltz, rumba, and tango. Two novelty dances caused much amusement,, and were won by Miss E. Goble and Mr. R. Brown, ,Miss P. Fitzgerald and Mr. G. Wilkinson. The committee responsible for the success of the dance were Miss E. Young (white crushed organdie). Miss K. Cain (fuchsia velvet), and Mr. 11. Vaney. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Whitehead (the latter wearing gold embossed lame), Mr. and Mrs. J. Pears (black shot velvet), Miss K. Pears (pink georgette), Miss J. Whitehead (white satin), Mr. F. Pears, Mr. and Mrs. J. Living, Miss D. Price (blue -silk: moire), Miss N. Evatt (rose angel skin lace), Mr. D. Brookman, Mr. Jim I Shannon, Mr. and Mrs. C. B.
