REGENT WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN WELLINGTON. I have had a glorious adventure on Friday and Saturday. I sat with the i happiest audiences in the world and saw "SHOW BOAT"! ... I saw hun- [ dreds of people drinking in every bit of the most precious screen experience i of their lives. ... I saw them stirred by the superb acting of Irene Dunne; 1 heard them sigh when she saris the new "Gallivantin' Around' " and the original "Make Believe." 1 saw them go wild when they heard the gorgeous voice of Paul Robeson rendering the original "01' Man River" and the new "All Still Suits Me." 1 Raw them thrill again when Allan Jones and Irene Dunne sang the new duct, "I Havn the Room Above Her," and the beloved "Why Do I Love You." I saw them deeply ulTeetcd by Helen' Morgan's rendition of "Bill" and "Can't Help Lovin' That Man o' Mine." .1 heard them roar at the performance of Charles Winningcr as "Captain Andy." ... 1 saw them, I heard them applaud as no audience ever did—and I applauded enthusiastically with them. Honestly, it was the greatest tribute ever paid to a picture. So, ladies and gentlemen, I give you "SHOW BOAT"!
