ACCIDENTS

While playing Association football at the-Basin Reserve on Saturday afternoon* M. Quirke received a cut over an eye which necessitated his being taken to hospital.

A fractured right leg and shock were suffered by P. J. Morrissey, a carpenter, of 30 Bolton Street; Petone, when playing Rugby at Hutt Park on Saturday. ■ After receiving medical attention, he was taken to hospital. When he. fell in Courtenay Place shortly after noon yesterday, H. E. Robinson, a master butcher, of 31 Ferry Street, Seatoun, received a compound fracture of both legs and shock. He. was taken to hospital. Concussion, a cut on the head, and abrasions to the face were suffered by J. Bourke, a greaser, of the steamer Piako, when he was knocked down by a motor-lorry in Post.Office Square on Saturday evening. He was taken to hospital.

All cases were handled by the Free Ambulance.
