REVUE AT KHANDALLAH

A capacity house greeted the ncr- } o"™ance0"™ance of"Snippets" at the Khandallah Public Hall recently, by members of the Wellington Red Cross VADs in aid of the building fund of the local Presbyterian Church. "Snippets" is a bright revue, produced by Mr. T Williams Pengam and divided into "snips" featuring "A Ranger's Romance "An Artist's Dream in Old Spain," "These Old Times." and the popular nursery rhyme, "The Old Woman in the Shoe " Colourful effect was given by appropriate old-time costumes and snecia] scenery and lighting. -special "TT, Woß i(£ eis s character sketches from The Old Curiosity Shop,". Dick Siviveller and the Marchioness, were portrayed with artistic"taste,by Miss Cara Hall and Master lan Galloway, and the latter also gave a rendering of "Scrooge" -A hearty vote of thanks to tile berformers, and all others who had contributed to the success of the function was carried with acclamation. The good wishes of the gathering were extended to the V.A.D.S in 'their forthcoming endeavour in the contest for the Dr. Collins Cup for home nursin" of which they are the present holders'
