SENIOR A
KARORI A y. WESLEY.
Territorially there was not much difference between Karori A and Wesley on No. 2 ground at Naenae. Wesley opened the scoring when Smith, inside-right, found the goal after two or three shots by others in the front line. Karori were not long in retaliating and E. Hull sent in a clean centre for Adams to shoot into the net. Pressing hard, Karori increased their advantage when Adams again connected with a short shot that gave Bremner, the Wesley goalie, no chance.
There were numerous brisk exchanges in the second spell, ' both teams having opportunities in the circles, but the clearances were fast and hard to counter. Play in midfield was very even and the fortunes of play went to and fro until just before the call of time, when Kelly drew Moore, the Karori goalkeeper, and slammed in a hard shot. The game ended: Karori 2, Wesley 2. Mr. W. A. Scott was umpire.
