THE KING'S ESCAPE
PUBLIC RELIEF
REFERENCE IN CHURCHES
In nearly all city churches yesterday reference - was made to the escape of his Majesty the King from possible death, for which expressions of thanksgiving were uttered.
At the' services in St. Paul's ProCathedral special thanksgiving prayers were offered. '
Both morning and afternoon services at St. John's Presbyterian Church were opened with the singing of the National Anthem, and the minister, .the Rev. J. R. Blanchard, made .reference to the ICing's escape in a prayer of thanksgiving at both services:-

At a meeting of Salvation Army- officers .at i Wellington Divisional Headquarters this afternoon special refer-ence-was made to the King's escape and to the Army's thankfulness.
