Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., held their annual springing heifer sale on.behalf of Messrs. Moore' Bros., at the Carterton yards, qir Thursday,■when the heifers came forward in, good condition. There was a large and representative attendance of buyers from the Hutt, JohnsonVille, .-■ and Lower; Valley districts. Bidding was brisk throughout and prices" were on a high level/ the top figure being £8 15s, while several made over £7 10s. Only d few backward heifers sold at under £6. The whole line of over 70: heifers were sold under the hammer, the average figure being £6 12s.
