'I went to visit a little boy who lives on a farm and he showed me all the animals. There were six dogs, j First wevmet a beautiful ginger-coloured dog, who was fitting near, his kennel. 'His name's Jim,''said Evan. : After patting him for a while Sve went to a big lazy-looking dog whose name was Mac. He was a friehdly^oldijdog; -..He-really could do no.thing but sleep. After visiting the other dogs we visited the horse, -who was ■contentedly feeding from a horse's nose-bag, while the owners looked on. As. we were return- - ing to the house I sighted a black cow down fn the paddock with a baby black calf. ' That is a sign of early spring." ■ : . "MISCHIEVOUS GNOME" (12).
