TECHNICAL COLLEGES

Yesterday the annual sports tournament between the Wanganui and Wellington Technical..Colleges wasi held. A party of Wanganui boys and girls came to Wellington on Thursday, and yesterday morning were taken'on a bus tour of the city, followed by an. inspection of .the hew National \ Art Gallery and Dominion Museum ( At hockey; the Wellington boys;'defeated the heavier and older Wanganui team by 2 goals to 1, - After ten minutes of play, Naidu scored for Wanganui by driving in after a free hit from the Wellington circle. It was not until-early in the second half that Wellington equalised with a forward attack from which Searle scoped. With a few minutes to play, Congrieve netted for Wellington. .

They won by 14 points (two tries; one Cdnverted, and two penalties) to 6 (two penalties). Ford and Bayly each: scored a try for-Wa-nganui and Herman scored two penalties and converted a try. = The teams were:—
