LONDON, July 16. The "'News-Chronicle" gives prominence to a message from its Paris correspondent quoting an "unimpeachable French official authority" for a statement that the Italian garrison at Addis Ababa is cut off 'from communication with the world with only a month's supplies.
No supply train has got through from Jibuti since July 6 owing to Abyssinian bands cutting the railway line. Immediately repairs are effected in one place the line is cut in another. Once it was cut within 24 miles of Addis Ababa. Nearly 100 Italians have been killed so far in defending the line.
The rains have made roads impassable, and aeroplanes are unable to find landing places. General Graziani is reported to be ruthlessly massacring all captured Abyssinians.
