SYDNEY, This Day.
The "Sydney Morning Herald" states that its special London representative has learned on the highest authority that the British Government is planning to assist shipping in the Pacific to meet American competition by a form of capital assistance from Britain in the building of ships and an annual subsidy, with assistance from the Dominions concerned.
