TRINITY METHODIST CHURCH
Ther quarterly meeting of officials, of Trinity Methodist Church, Wellington South Circuit, was held on Monday, and was well attended. f , The Rev. .Walter . Parker presided, and as if was his first. important official" meeting, a ;'yery hearty welcome Was extenaedtohim by Mr. W. Binet Brown; 'acting steward, who expressed the hope that Mr. Parker's work .would be'blessed by God, to' the good of the. spiritual atmosphere of the church and district.- ■"'■ - . ■•".. •.-.■•''... ...'. ... ! ,
The financial statement, presented by Mr. J. A. Martiry co-circuit steward,; was very encouraging, as a credit bal-; ance was shown;ol £6,, with no special efforts..made to. produce this, result. Contributions " to " foreign ' missions totalled £67, including £30 raised by the Trinity Methodist Ladies' Auxiliary. Sunday,- August-, 23,- was set' aside as Home Mission Sunday. . '. ;
Reports from the Ladies' Guild, the Sunday school, and Bible classes were very encouraging, and there was ample evidence that the work being done in these departments was bearing good fruit , ■"'.;.'■

The .minister reported seven deaths, three ybaptisms, and one marriage during the quarter. ■ Arrangements were made to hold, at a date-to be fixed later, '- ah • old home church Sunday, when, the, special feature will be the gathering together of; old members and friends of .the church at special services, to be concluded by a social hour and supper in the schoolroom.
