PRICES IMPROVE

LOCAL RABBITSKIN SALE

The third Wellington rabbitskin sale was held yesterday by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., and Dalgety and Co., Ltd. Large catalogues, comprising mainly incoming and winter skins, were offered. There was a full bench of buyers, and a still further improvement in prices was shown. Lower grades were Id to 3d higher; autumn lines, 3d to 6d up; and winters, 6d to lOd higher. A line, of prime winter bucks sold at 144d per lb; first bucks made 138d; prime does, 96d; and first does, 87d.
