EXPRESS DELAYED

MISHAP TO GOODS TRAIN

(By Telegraph—Press Association.)

AUCKLAND, This Day.

The first express from Wellington arrived at 8.13 this morning, over an hour late, due to a blockage caused by the draw gear of a morning goods train from Frankton breaking down on a rise between Takanini and Manurewa.

The mishap occurred at a most inconvenient time. The freight train had to be pushed to Manurewa in three sections before the line was cleared. Suburban trains were.also delayed.
