There was no play in the Test match between England and All India at Lord's before lunch owing to rain. When a resumption was made at 2.15 p.m. there was a sensational iall ol wickets, seven being lost for 30 runs in less than an hour. England were polished off in nineteen balls. India led by 13 runs on the first innings but made a disastrous start in the second innings. Allen made unexpected pace from the pitch and swung the ball disconcertingly. Half the side was out for 39 and seven wickets were down for 80 when bad light and rain called a halt for the day. Details:— ALL INDIA. First Innings .- 147 Second Innings.
