R. f c Semple) will each receive a salary of c< £500 a year, in return for which they j. will be required to devote their whole B energies to their new duties. a( Mr. Semple said today the authori- y ties were appointed for one year, but they would be reappointed so long as t) they were found to be suitable. They would be paid travelling expenses also d and they would be officers of the n Transport Department, but not under ~ the Public Service Commissioners. "It will be a full-time job," said the Minister, "and they must devote 1 their whole attention to the reorganisation of the transport system."
