SHEEP DOG TRIALS
i SOUTH ISLAND MEETING - (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, This Day. The weather was much better when the South Island dog trial championships were continued at Mossburn yesterday There was snow on the ground for the first few runs, but the. fresh wind soon cleared it. The heading, pull, and yarding event was completed. The result was:—R. M. Wilson's (Kirwee), Fly, 163 points, 1; lan Anderson's (Kurow), Glen, 161, 2; John Anderson's (Kurow), Toby Junior, 159, 3; W. E. Stiven's (Heriot) Skookum, 158, 4; F. Gerrand's (Dip- , ton) Don, 156J, 5; J. B. Ducale's (Lochiel) Roy, 155 i, 6. It is hoped to complete the last event, the hunt-away, today.
