FREE LECTURE ON SOLAR SYSTEM.

A popular lantern lecture on astronomy, "The Solar System and its Origin," will be given free in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall on Monday evening by Mr. A. C. Gitl'ora, M.A., F.R.A.S. This is one of a series of lectures arranged by the Wellington City Council, and there will be no charge for admission. Mr. GifTord is one of tho few scientists who can impart the mysteries of the heavens in a popular discourse, as those who haye heard him are aware.
