THE QUEEN MARY * GOVERNMENT APPROVAL (Received June 19, 9.40 a.m.) I LONDON, June 18. The Chancellor of the Exchequer (Mr. Neville Chamberlain) announced in the House of Commons that the Government had agreed in principle with the request of the Cunard-White Star Line for the building of a sister ship to the Queen Mary, for which the company is negotiating with Messrs. John Brown and Co., Ltd.
