THEFT ALLEGED

Charged before Mr. E. D. Mosley, S £ uf the Magistrate's with the theft of an overcoat scarf and felt hat of the total value of £2, John Sutherland, alias John Herring, labourer aged 42, pleaded not guilty and was remanded until Monday next. Senior-Sergeant J. Dempsej-who applied for the remand, raid that the ponce hoped to pick up .another man concerned with the alleged theft. The accused agreed to the remand.
