WON IN RECORD TIME

GUTHRIE DISQUALIFIED (British Official Wireless.t (Received June 1.0, 1 p.m.) / RUGBY, June 15. The Junior International Tourist Trophy race was run today over the 2G4 miles mountain course in the Isle of Man, and was won by F. L. Frith, riding a Norton, in 3hr 17min 6sec, at an average speed of 80.14 miles per hour. White, on another Norton, was second at an average speed of 77.97 miles per hour, and E. A. Mellors, on a Velocette, came in third at an average speed of 77.91 miles per hour. James Guthrie, winner for the last two years, was disqualified after leading for four laps. He broke his own lap record of 80.11 miles per hour, which was also beaten by Frith, who set a new lap record of 81.94 miles per hour. Frith's winning total time is a record, breaking Guthrie's previous record by 2rnin 28sec. There were 22 starters out of an entry of 27. During practice runs Guthrie broke his own lap record.
