ENGLISH LEAGUE TEAM

BRISBANE, June 35. The English Rugby League team defeated Wide Bay, at Maryborough, by 35 points to 8. There was a record crowd of 3000 and the gate takings amounted to £330. Despite the loss of Edwards, Ellcrington, and Belshavv, who are injured,, the visitors showed an almost impregnable defence and brilliant combined bursts of passing. Tries were scored for England by Belshaw (3), Kisman, Atkinson, McLure, and Exley. Risman kicked seven goals. Bullock and Fisher scored for Wide Bay and King kicked a goal.
