LEVITY GOES NORTH.

Levity has been sold by the Christchurch breeder Mr. W. J. Morland to Mr. W.*.Hosking. of Auckland, and the gelding is now in F. J. Smith's stable. Levity, a four-year-old.by Rey de Oro from Escapade, who was the champion trotting mare of her time, was a very fast two-year-old, and, on an interrupted preparation, he led for a mile and a quarter in the Sapling Stakes. As a three-year-old he won at Wellington, but soOn after he developed leg trouble, and had to be given a long spell from racing. _ It is believed that racing the opposite way round will suit Levity, and if he becomes solid he should win several races in the north.
