Argo Gold Dredging Co., Ltd., reports a return for the week ending June 13 as follows: —Yield, 520z; yardage treated, 9000; hours dredged, 90. Repairs to dredge have been carried out throughout the week on day shift, which accounts for the shorter dredging time. Mataki, Murchison, reports:—Last week the dredge worked on a face of 500 ft with an average depth of 16Jft, pulling ahead 35ft, The river portion of the cut continues to improve, although on the inside the water is still shallow, and we are lifting 3ft to 4ft of pug over approximately 150 ft. The dredge is working well, and there are no mechanical defects.
The following telegram was received by the New Zealand Stock Exchange Association from Gillespies Beach, at 9 a.m. today:—"Dredge still undergoing repairs."
