IN RECESS

| HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES | The House of Representatives met at 12.30 p.m. today. • Business was brief, and confined to one question asked by Mr. W. J. Polson (National,, Stratford) and the tabling of two reports by the Minister of Finance (the Hon. W. Nash), after which the House adjourned until the ringing of the bells. When the House of Representatives met the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) announced that messengers employed during the session would be employed during the recess. In the absence of formalities the House engaged in a mock Parliament, after which they adjourned in order to receive a message from the GovernorGeneral to inform them that he had approved of the Bills passed during the session.
