Bylaw prosecutions in the Magis trate's Court today were taken by Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M. , For failing to comply with a cleansing order William James Gibson was convicted and ordered to pay costs. For travelling against one-way traffic Frank Ritchie was fined 5s and costs. For travelling at an excessive speed (35 miles per hour) in Adelaide Road William Leslie Monson was nned and costs. . -r t ~ m For driving without lights, John Albert Arlidge and Frank Hitchins were each fined 10s and costs. For parking offences Donald Nelson Carr, Alfred John Banks, Leonard For rester, Lalu Naren. Reginald Henrj Pearcey, George White, and George Wright were each fined 10s and costs and Charles Stevenson 15s and costs. Charged with parking in a prohibitec area, Sidney Kirkcaldie said that he stopped in front of the Post Office tc reregister his car, but was held up ir the queue for 35 minutes. He was convicted and discharged. , ■ Paul Ketko,. in pleading guilty tc nine charges of parking for more thar an hour, all at the same time, said thai his garage had been overcrowded anc he had to put the nine cars on tc Lambton Quay. He was convicted anc discharged on eight of the charges anc fined 20s. and costs on the ninth. C. W.
