The prizes, all in alluvial gtrid, which are offered are: First prize £500, seciond prize £200, third prize £100, and 40 nrizes of £5 each—a total of 43 prizes valued at £1000. Sir Andrew Russell is president, is in aid of the forthcoming grand searchlight tattoo which it is proposed to stage in the four main centres in aid of the regi mental funds of the territorials and senior cadets and of the Air Force. In view of the restrictions placed on sales SS'Snot'to interfere will) the;Mg? half-crown art unions, the Central com mand has enlisted, the support of all territorial and senior cadet units ana of the Air Force throughout the comSS?.te p.omoUng sales by voto tary means, and also of kinarea patriotic organisations, such as the Returned Soldiers' Association, South African veterans, the rifle clubs, the Navy Leaffue the Red Cross, and the St. John Ambulance Association. This has been done on the basis of offering each unit, or organisation selling tickets a 50 per cent, retention for its own unit or organisation funds. Thus, not only the serving defence units but also kindred patriotic organisations will benefit fully by all tickets sold.
