REMAND GRANTED
CHARGE OF MURDERING BROTHER-IN-LAW (Received June 2, 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Eric Williams Newlands, aged 26, was remanded when he appeared in the Moree Police Court on a charge of having murdered his brother-in-law, William Alfred Duncombe. It was reported by cable yesterday that when he was alleged to have refused to fight a duel with rifles at Boomi, near Mudgee, William Duncombe, aged 32, a farm worker, was shot through the chest and killed instantly, according to the police.
